WIW: triple denim, to shop for nude bags

I dared to wear triple denim today. I debated whether the outfit was one step too far, but liked the look and left the house in it.

This is the outfit I wore to shop for bags to go with my new nude pumps. This is my second wearing of the ankle strap pumps, and I'm finding them quite comfortable, for a heel. I am really enjoying the ladylike feel they give to an everyday outfit.

The outfit:
Cream skinny jeans (Mother, the Looker skinny, in Whipping the Cream); blue chambray pullover shirt (Side Stitch); sand denim jacket (French Dressing Jeans); ivory cutuout belt (Fossil); nude pumps with gold ankle strap (AGL, Claire); navy and tan satchel (Dooney & Bourke).
Photo 1 is the outfit as I wore it to shop.
Photos 2-4 show the new bags: Vegan nude tote (Joy Susan, Carly Reversible Tote, in Barely Pink/Smoke), and leather envelope clutch (JCrew, in pink sand).

    This looks so fantastic on you, Sharan.  And the bags! 

    The funny thing is, when I try to imagine it on myself, I just can't.  The combination of a

    1) button-down

    2) denim shirt

    3) tucked into skinnies with a

    4) denim jacket layered on top in

    5) light colors

    would be an unmanageable struggle for me.  That's where I think the skills of being naturally polished come in.  You ROCK.

    But it looks great!
    I like the shoes and belt to add a little subtle pattern.
    I might've mentioned this before, but your jeans look so so good on you. The higher rise looks fab.

    Love the outfit - sleek, with the denim as a casual influence and the shoes as a lady-like touch.  Your new blush bags look great with your skin tone, the white clothes, and your new shoes.  

    I have to say I don't own any premium denim (yet), but I just love the product names of your jeans, so appreciate you sharing them, so tasty! ;)

    Wonderful! So inspiring! I love how it brings out your beautiful hair too in the most romantic way. I like it best with the nude handbag in pic 2.

    This is really awesome, Sharan. Wow! You look so polished and effortlessly chic. Those shoes & bag really elevate the look. And I can't help but notice that all your denim pieces are such a *perfect* fit. That, in my opinion, is the KEY to looking so cool in triple denim. You DO TOTALLY ROCK!

    That is a beautiful tonal outfit and it is incredibly flattering on you.  Glad those shoes are comfy because they look sensational on you  And your new bags are stunning.

    Mirjana, I can see you wearing this outfit!
    Una, I can see what you mean, especially when you list out the elements that aren't really your style. I wouldn't have thought of them, though. Usually I don't wear button-down shirts, myself. And lighter colors are something I turn to less frequently than my dark, moody colors.
    Smittie, thank you! I'm enjoying higher-rise jeans these days. Still wear my lower ones, too, but with this brand I've found a higher rise that feels really good.
    rabbit, I know--those color/wash names by Mother jeans are so fun, aren't they? Also, part of the reason I got the shoes is that they are such a nice nude shade for me. And then I had to have a bag (or two) to go with them, didn't I? I think I'm going to like this new neutral.

    Aida, you definitely need to try a triple denim outfit with ladylike shoes and clutch.

    Debbie, thank you. When I saw the tote reverses to smoke, I thought I couldn't pass it up. It should be great for travel.

    Oh, and JAileen, I think three denim pieces might be my maximum. I do have a pair of denim ballet flats, though. I feel like that might be just a step too far, but perhaps doable with this outfit.

    Wow! Another vote here for "you look like you are shooting a fashion commercial". The fit, colors, everything is really gorgeous. Love the shoe/bag color and the way the denim shirt seems NOT like a typical denim shirt....

    So well put together- love everything! And the belt- just what I need- a lighter, cooler belt. I think I found a similar Fossil one on Nordstrom website (in my wishlist).
