WIW: 2 days of distressed jeans

I wore my distressed skinny boyfriend jeans yesterday and again today, before I had to change for work this evening. Today I covered them up more with a long cardigan, and I kind of liked keeping the showy pockets hidden for a change. I would not have tried on these jeans, let alone bought them, without the encouragement of the owner of the small boutique where I bought them. They have turned out to be one of my most comfortable pairs of jeans and real workhorses for casual dressing on my days off. I like good kinds of fashion surprises like these.

The outfits:
1-3 (worn for a day off): distressed skinny boyfriend jeans (Silver); taupe v-neck ruched slub-knit tee (Caslon); neutral toned scarf (Asian Eye); oatmeal 3/4-sleeved cardigan (Halogen); pewter leather cutout belt (Fossil); taupe metallic suede high-top sneakers (Paul Green); teal short trench coat (Ambition); taupe hobo bag (Aunts & Uncles).
4-5 (worn for a day off): same jeans, art nouveau print pieced tee in greens, taupe, ivory, and pink (made by me); taupe linen 3/4-sleeved long cardigan (Nic & Zoe); stone and cream leather belt (Annette Goertz); taupe metallic cutout peep-toe booties (Paul Green, Tacey).
6-8 (worn for work): same outfit, with a change to greenish-gray slouchy cropped pants, rolled (Annette Goertz) in place of the jeans.

Did I do okay on the pants roll in 6-8? I do not have an eye for PPL on crops.

Thanks for looking! Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

The bf jeans look FAB on you! Is that embroidery on the back pockets?

I like the proportions in the first outfit the best and that teal coat is a great find.

I'm still figuring out the right amount of roll on pants so I'll leave that to the experts.

    Those peep-toe booties are awesome!

This is casual style the arty way. Wow! Well done. The jeans are super, and I totally get why you wear them a lot because you look terrific in them. The booties elevate the whole outfit. Great, just great! I like the cardigan a lot, too, the change of proportions work just fine. Personally I might have omitted the scarf in #1 because there is a lot going on in regards of texture already, but that's just me. It looks great with the topper.

The jeans look great on you.  I wear my relaxed skinnies a lot as well.  I love how you have put all the neutrals together.  The colours work well with the scarf.  I love the booties.

What do the jeans look like with a roll?  They look great the way you are wearing them but as an alternative.  I am not an expert on pant length.  I just roll up a bit and then I am done.

Fantastic and perfectly styled outfits! The belt and booties look like they match perfectly. The boutique owner was right - those jeans look great on you.

I think you wear those jeans rather well. Really like outfit #1- with the cardi and scarf.

I really love the second outfit on you - just beautiful mixing of colour and texture. And I think the roll is just right on the pants - showcases those lovely shoes!

Oh how I love your palette! First outfit is fun with lots going on and totally works - but then it is outstanding with that jacket - LOVE the colour! I really like the second outfit too - but you know how much I love those shoes :) :) :)

I love your palette too and the jeans are great on you. I think I have a slight preference for them in the outfit in #4 but both are really nice. Your shoes are a big part of the look too I think, which may be why I have the slight preference for #4.

I'm not great at deciding where to roll my pants either. I typically leave them a bit longer but I have a feeling these are more the right length than mine.

    Thanks, everyone, for your comments!

AJ, yes, the pockets are heavily embroidered--part of why I wouldn't have taken a second look at these jeans, because I wasn't really into high-contrast pocket design.

Ingunn, thanks! I thought the scarf looked a little long this way, personally. I've worn it tied differently before, where the ends hang down on either side of my neck. But I was definitely too chilly early in the day to go without something at my neck. I'm with you and some of the others here--the booties seem to "make" any outfit I wear them with.

Style Fan, I often wear the jeans rolled, just one turn. They are too narrow on my calves to do much more than that. I was having trouble figuring out how to negotiate the roll and the high-tops, so I put them back down. Maybe the hightops aren't ideal with these jeans.

Thanks for the shoe love, Jackie, Lisa, and Texstyle!
