You have done a thorough search! Jeans shopping is always a trial. White jeans shopping, more of a trial.
I really like the bootcuts and think you should keep.
Both sizes of the Catherines seem to work well, so I guess it just depends on how much slack you want in them. As well as on stretch. Since I don't own these, I can't comment on that. You might also want to compare how they look rolled, if you plan to wear them that way at all. And styled. I sometimes find with K/R that I get my answer by styling the item. I know better which one *feels* right.
I also like both versions of the cropped jean. Again, I'd go with the one that feels best. They both look decently substantial and are flattering.

Love the bootcuts -- this shape is terrific for you, and will work with your wardrobe. I also like the regular size Catherine's in 5/6 (all reports are that they stretch, and it would be nice to have a bit more structure than in your Eddie Bauer's), and the JCrew in 9/10.
Excellent hunting and gathering!

Okay! I LOVE, love, love the first boot cuts. They look spectacular. I love the second, more tapered pair as well. Those will be perfect for flat shoes. Of the cropped pairs, I prefer the leg shape of the J. Crew because they're more tapered. For the two sizes of Kuts, it's hard to say. I had a pair of Kuts and they stretched. A lot! So keep that in mind. From the pictures, both sizes look great. Oh, and hang onto the too tight jeans. If you're like me, you loose a few pounds every summer and you might be into them again in no time. I'm back into the white jeans I gave my daughter last winter when I was heavier. I hope she doesn't miss them, lol!

The stand outs for me are your current ones, the white Eddie Bauer. Next is #3 then #1.

I vote
11-12 - your current ones. If your weight is fluctuating, do you need a second pair?
1-2 - a different look, dressy. Can imagine with pointy toed shoes. Fits you well - especially rear view!
7-8.- more casual, lower rise. May want to get them tapered a bit if you plan to cuff. Not sure? Seem to fulfill same role as 11-12.

Firstly, I believe you cannot have enough white jeans and different lengths, fits and weights are fine. I do not see anything off here on any of them, I would prefer to choose based on how you'd wear them (ie with belt) I find I don't like any I have without a belt, but with they are good.

Thanks, everyone--it's really helpful to have extra eyes on these. I appreciate your thoughts and will have time to respond more fully later.

You have a tough decision to make because you look great in all of those.
My favorites are first one and the Kuts but all look fab. That's the problem you get when you have a great figure.

I think the white bootcuts are the best and would purchase them.
I would not get any more - you already have great crops, weight often drops over summer, and I think any more would be overkill. I think how often would you want to wear them - maybe twice a week over summer, you have lots of choice beween one new pair and your existing.
I hope that does not sound negative because they all suit you and look fabulous - I just think you may as well enjoy what you already have.

Kiwigal, you've got a good point about how many white jeans I'll actually wear.
Beth Ann, you hit the nail on the head--sometimes I want a white jean that is not as baggy as the Eddie Bauer crops after they've stretched out.
Joyce, that's sweet of you--thanks! I feel like white jeans are harder to get right than darker ones, though.
Suz and Jjsloane, I do need to do some styling. What I liked about the AG Stilts was that they were a longer length and a close fit. I could wear tunics and ballet flats with them. But how do I want to wear white jeans now? Maybe not the same way.
Claire, what a funny tale about reclaiming your jeans from your daughter! Kiwigal makes a similar point about weight dropping in summer. I think I'm a little panicked because it hasn't happened yet. But that's not a reason to buy a whole new wardrobe--yet. :)

The catherines in pics 5/6 get my vote.

Great to have all these comparisons! I think 5/6 and the Eddie Bauers look to fit you the best. Does EB have a full length white jean by chance?

I like the KUTs sized up and rolled best. And the new bootcuts best after that. Super duper fab. xo

Firecracker (Sharan) replied 10 years ago
texstyle, oh, if it were that simple--to get a full-length white BF jean like my cropped Eddie Bauers! No, their full-length white jean is a different cut.
Thanks for weighing in, Angie. I'm wearing the new bootcuts today--tags are off! And I'm wearing the sized-up Catherines around the house with tags, to see how much they're going to stretch out.

I purchased the Catherine's last year per Angie's recommendation on You Look Fab and still love them! The higher waist is a definite positive feature for me!

I'm glad you are keeping the bootcuts; they would be my first pick as I think that they look great on you. I do think it is nice to have a pair with a close fit as you said. I have a pair of slim fit white jeans that are actually a pull on style (but not skin tight like leggings) and they are the best pick for certain tops. I also have the KUT Diana's that are called skinny but are a comfortable slim fit in the legs for me.

Go Team White Jeans and Team Wear. I'm wearing my white KUTS right now.

I think the bootcuts are just made for your figure and long legs. I actually like the curve of the waist better than the Kuts.
The Kuts would work if you really want a straight long pant. I decided on mine because I can wear them full-length-scrunched or with a roll or 2. They are difficult to wear much higher due to thick fabric and length.
The EB crops are superb--I would just wear those to death. They are perfecly "easy fit" on you.
So I might just use the EB's for the summery leg-baring look rather than buy more to roll up. Then use the bootcuts for a slightly more dressy long white pant. They will work tucked or untucked on you.
The main problem with bootcuts is PPL's--you can't shift shoes much. I was only going to get one pair of white pants so I did the Kuts for some length and shoe adjustments. So, hmmm, then the Kuts might be needed.....

My favs are the sized up kuts. Having said that, I still like all three of your current white jeans! They don't look too small to me at all, FWIW. Different looks for different purposes.

Unfrumped, you identified the issue: I sometimes want a long white jean but not necessarily a bootcut. Like today. If I had had a long white straight leg jean to put on, I would have. (I just didn't feel like wearing crops today--it was cool in the morning.) But I wore my new bootcuts and they were fine, because it did not rain, despite early clouds. Yay!
