Great outfit and I agree dressing for this weather makes me feel schizophrenic at times. Wool one day followed by an open weave sweater the next - Personally transitional dressing is not my favorite.

The open weave sweater with the white jeans looks perfect for fall. Cozy but not too warm. And I love these bootcuts every time you post them!

Thanks for the commiseration, frannieb!
Dee, I'm flattered that you remember and like the jeans!

This weather is so hard to dress for. It was chilly today but will be back in the 80's or 90's in a few days. I feel like I have clothes everywhere, not knowing what to pack away. Our 80's are usually hot and humid. I love the column of white with the open knit. Great outfit.

Thanks, Joy. Somehow, this was just the right combination of layers for today. I probably didn't even need the jacket on my walk to the grocery store, but I wore it open and wasn't too warm.

Wow, you look wonderful! These proportions are great on you, and I love the unusual shade of blue......I can see why you love wearing this. Two happy thumbs up :).

Absolutely Fabulous, Sharan. No wonder you loved this outfit so much. That open weave sweater is gorgeous on you.
Can we thank our weather angels for more glorious weather? xo

Great outfit! Love the trench. I hear you about the weather. I was out last night from 6:30 until 11. 68 when I left the house, 43 when we returned.

You've created a great outfit once again! I really enjoy your style and these looks definitely work well for you.

I love the coat on you. For some reason I like the open weave sweaters better over a darker column in the fall otherwise they read summery to me. Transition weather is hard though. We went from hot to cold overnight and now have one day where it is freezing in my building (wool socks and boots, sweater and jacket indoors and still cold) then the next day where I'm sweating in my l/s tee and sneakers by afternoon, but all the mornings start the same. Bah humbug!

Super fab!! I love the shoes!

I love this! Those soft blues and teals really suit you and I like how the cami 'peeps' through the mesh of your fab sweater.

Superb outfit! And yay for bare-necked happiness!! :)
I think you and I should really exploit the warm days with the lower necklines.

Love this on you. The open weave sweater looks great.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the ideas and encouragement.
Elly, yes, I can see the summery look here. I was hoping to balance it with the closed shoes. It was a sunny day, so I didn't really feel out of place.

Love the easy fit in your pants. I know you searched hard to find them!
You look terrific for an early fall day!

This is absolutely gorgeous. Have to admit I was a bit disappointed to see the sweater is no longer available...
And I'm with you on the dressing struggles. Somehow the temps and what seems "right" don't align.

Fantastic combination!

Thanks, Beth Ann. I've surprised myself by wearing the flares as much as the boyfriend white jeans I bought this year. I like these a lot better than the ones I outgrew!
Elizabeth, I wanted to buy the sweater in a taupe color that it came in, too, once I had worn this one. And it was already gone!
Thanks, Shevia!

I love the open weave sweater but the teal trench is taking the cake for me. That color is so lovely on you!

Love this outfit! I really like the belt--and the mix of textures you have going on within a limited palette. Great trench coat too. Completely fab. :)
