WIW: the color of the day (green)

Angie's post on green today coincided with my desire to wear my bottle green (a teal shade) cashmere sweater. I paired it with boyfriend jeans, scarf, belt, and boots--a very simple, casual outfit for a day off.

The outfit: Dark boyfriend jeans (Kut from the Kloth, Catherine); bottle green cashmere pullover (Halogen); ethnic print wool scarf in mint, teal, ivory, and espresso (Asian Eye); taupe-gray belt (Cowboys Belts); gray croc moto boots (Donald J. Pliner, Dalis); taupe trench coat (Calvin Klein); taupe shoulder bag (Aunts & Uncles); red lipstick for a little bit of festive spirit (Laura Mercier stick gloss in cranberry).

    Okay, so you can flat wear green! I can see why you said you have a lot of colors in your wardrobe--why not when so many look good? Very nice use of green with green but with the other lighter colors in the scarf--tonal but lively!

    Love that shade of green!  Adding the tonal touch is the scarf is a wonderful touch, too.  This looks modern and comfy!

    I love that shade of green!  Too bad I can never seem to find green colors that I like in stores.  The scarf is great with the top.
