WIW: something old, something new

Yesterday I wore older pieces, or at least not new this season. Today I wore new corduroys and my new oxfords. Over both outfits, I wore my black coat, and I brought out a purple hobo bag that I haven't carried for a long time. I'm not sure whether I carried it at all last year, but I still really like it. The color is so rich, and the leather so soft.

The outfits:
1-3 (worn to work): taupe cowl cardigan (AllSaints, Edgar); dark brown ponte knit wide-legged cargo pants (made by me); brown metallic booties (Donald J. Piner); brown metal tear-drop hoop earrings and necklace; black packable coat (Cole Haan); purple hobo bag (Kate Spade). (I tried to lighten up the photos so you could see some of the detail on the pants--they have a really long cargo pocket, extending from above the knee to mid-calf.)

4-6 (worn for a day off, and piano lesson): teal corduroys (Kut from the Kloth, Diana); mint boxy merino sweater with step hem (Eileen Fisher); read, teal, and purple tie-dyed silk scarf (Asian Eye); gray shimmer oxfords (Naot, Kedma); black coat and purple bag as above.

Thanks for looking! Any suggestions and thoughts are welcome!

You look so arty and elegant in the drapey top/pants in 1. So luxe and lovely! The purple hobo is wonderful here too. Great mint sweater and corduroys too. The red floral scarf is the perfect accent! YLF!

Outfit 1 is my absolute favorite! Look at your legs .. They look miles long! And the top is gorgeous!

Mint is a pretty color on you. A fresh change from your earthy tones :)

Ha! Another twinsies moment! I have the Kut cords in navy, black and purple and I love, love, love them for Winter when jeans just aren't warm enough. Just got mine out this week in fact. And you know I love that AllSaints sweater on you. Wish I could see the cargos better, but know how difficult it is, especially in this season to get good clear photos!

Ah, great rich textures and colors here. Very nice!

Fun looks. I LOVE the AS's pullover on you so much. Sharan. xo

You look fab in all the outfits....especially love the beautiful green shades on you...are the pants in finds the same color? Gorgeous X 6!

    Thanks, everyone!

Neel, thank you! For a higher volume pant, that's nice to hear.

Oh, Ann, more twin clothes! I have the Kut cords from a previous season, too, in navy. Had to have the teal  and the olive ones that I bought with them this past weekend! I agree, they are cozier than jeans for cooler weather.

Angie, thanks. It's so funny I hadn't thought to pair the AllSaints sweater with brown yet.

Ann and Angie, did you see my post on the upcoming fashion show at Renee's boutique in Everett?

Carole, yes, the Finds version is the same color. Sure looks a lot brighter online, though! I'd say my photos look slightly darker than real life, not a whole lot. (Well, the photo with the coat is dark; the others I lightened up to look more true to life.)

I am completely in love with that AS pullover on you. I remember the last time you posted it. The taupe is beautiful on you. I know, I know, I am biased toward taupe, but it just does!

Meanwhile, when I came to the aqua sweater I just gasped! That is incredibly lovely on you as well. You have the frame and shoulders to carry this style with such grace. Love the scarf, too.

The aqua outfit is so easy to love!

But your handmade cargo pants steal the show and are a perfect match for that taupe top.

I always love that lovely taupe top on you Sharan and those 'made by you' drapey cargo pant are fab! The corduroy skinny pants in 4, 5 and 6 are a great colour and fit... great paired with the oxfords.
