WIW: same shorts, different story

Today's shorts (same as yesterday's), worn for a day off, a long walk to breakfast out, and shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access. . . . It was hot again, but I needed some coverage for the air conditioned store of course.

The outfit: Denim shorts (Kut from the Kloth); silver-coated dark gray linen tank (Eileen Fisher); black and gray print mesh knit cardigan (made by me); gray and silvery narrow belt (?); black elastic strap flats (Munro); black satchel (Elliott Lucca).

I got some great basic pieces at NAS, but they'll have to wait for another post.

Thanks for looking! As always, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.

I love the length of those shorts - I wish that would work on me. They look great on you, and that tank is absolutely fantastic. Love.

Well done, FC!  The cardi is my favorite bit --- interesting, with just a touch of shine.  Long shorts are quite versatile and, in this wash and with the tailored, but easy cut, is perfect!

Firecracker , the textures and metallics of your top layers are divine. It was hot! Good way to add layers indoors where needed. Look forward to seeing your NAS finds.

Kari, thanks! I did post my finds, here. I haven't tried them on for photos, though.

Super cute! I love the metallic effect. Somehow I almost always look frumpy if I add layers but you pull it off beautifully!
