WIW, plus WIB a year later (K/R?)

Today's outfits for home and then for work. . .

1 (home): metallic linen vest/top (made by me); long taupe tank underneath, ruched up (Emily Blu); skinny medium wash jeans (Lucky, Charlotte Rail); pewter cutout peep-toe booties (Paul Green).

2 (work): same outfit, with linen trousers in "sand dollar" (NYDJ) instead of jeans.

3-4: What I bought this week, almost a year after buying (and returning) them the first time: white Kut from the Kloth Catherine boyfriend jeans. Last year I wanted skinnies. This year I can't bring myself to wear the skinnies out of the house. I've outgrown them, at least enough that I am not comfortable in them. I think these Kuts are probably a size larger than what I bought and returned last year. So if I had bought them last year, I wouldn't be wearing them now anyway.
Looking at the photo of the back, I think the jeans look tighter than they look to me in the mirror and than they feel. Maybe I'm deluding myself; I don't know.  I'm inclined to keep. What do you all think?

Thanks for looking. I appreciate your honest feedback!

That *made by me* brand metallic vest is just fantabulous every time you wear it!!! And of course I love the outfits! Nice shoes too.

I like the jeans and from what I see they don't seem snug at all. But now since slouchy is the new skinny do you think you could try the size up and put them side by side for a K/R? It all depends on how you want your jeans to fit.

I love that metallic top! You are so talented.

I think the skinnies look really great! I vote to keep.

Thanks, Neel! Yes, I should try the next size. I'll order them.

Well don't you look beautiful in your top and outfits I have no favorites I love them all. I like these pants on you the don't look tight at all but, if you feel constricted then go ahead size up.

I like the jeans a lot, but a size up won't look too big, so it's worth trying!

Love the first two outfits. The metallic top you made is gorgeous! As for the white jeans, I think the fit looks really good to me, but as others have said, I guess nothing would be lost if you did try one size up.

i think the white jeans are ok as is, but try sizing up as a comparison.
love the metallic vest! fab that it works so well for casual jeans and work

Ah! the metallic top is absolutely lovely on you. There is not end to your fab sewing skills. I hope you find the right size in these jeans.

Love the vest, love the shoes, love the flares, I would size up with the Kuts but I like bfs bigger.

I've ordered the next size. It makes me want to cry, but I want to look good in my clothes. And I don't need another pair of skinny white jeans. ;)

You look absolutely sensational in that metallic top/ vest. That is my honest opinion. :) I particularly love it with the jeans. Fabulous!!!

For the jeans, try the larger size and see. It's not you, it's the pants!! I wasn't crazy about the fit of the Catherines in my regular size either, FWIW, and didn't end up keeping them. I would have liked them a size bigger but since I had only ordered the one size (on a US trip) I didn't have the opportunity of getting them.

And. I hear you on the skinnies. No more skinnies for summer is my rule. I would like to extend it to winter but with my climate, I can't, at least as long as they are remotely fashionable. For now, they will not touch my bottom!!

You are a gorgeous creature. WOW. #1 is particularly killer.

I have two pairs of white BF KUTS and were them all the time. I hope you will love yours too.

I am over super tight skinnies myself, although I love an equestrian look in Winter. I DO still wear my skinnies - rolled at the ankle. But they aren't super tight.

Thanks, everyone. Your nice thoughts and appreciation of my "made by me" label goods lift my spirits. Angie, I'm holding out hope for the larger Kuts.

Firecracker remember that the size may be different and so are the cuts. So don't go by the number or size go by the fit and feel. I'm an 18 but, all 18 fit differently. So don't you dare cry about a different size. Ok

Ladywone, you're so sweet--thank you. You are right, and so is Suz--it's not me, it's the pants.
