WIW: olive, white, denim

Here's my version of Angie's Olive, White, Denim, & Espadrilles ensemble. I substituted cream and taupe laceup sandals for the espadrilles.

The outfit (worn to work):
Olive boyfriend chinos (Eddie Bauer); cream linen asymmetrical hem button front top with decorative stitching (made by me); cream cutout belt (Fossil); jean jacket (AG, Robyn); cream and taupe laceup sandals (P.Monjo).

Thanks for looking! Suggestions and comments welcome.

You did a great job on that top, the decorative stitching looks gorgeous! I like the entire ensemble.

Another fab interpretation.  I love the way you put together outfits.  They always look like a work of art to me.  I suspect that even though the outfits have that effortless look, a lot of thought goes into getting it just right.  Either that or you just have a knack for getting proportion and texture just right.

Just right. I love that top!

Cheryle, that's so nice of you. I don't know; sometimes I struggle with proportions, so I think it's mostly trial and error. Yesterday when I saw Angie's ensemble, I thought, Oh, I have those pieces! So this outfit didn't take a lot of thought.
Karie and Jenn, thank you for your compliments on the top. It's such a simple yet striking design, for which I credit the pattern designers!

I can't believe you made that top. I love this interpretation. Very fresh.

You and I have similar taste in shoes...I'm loving these espedrilles. I did not find a pair this year that I liked. Love this outfit!

Great look! It's a wonderfully classic colour combination and it suits you down to the ground. The blouse and shoes are perfect together.

Nice to see you posting WYW again. I'd missed them.

Ditto, what Rio said..great to see you again! What a great interpretation of Angie's ensemble. Love it! I think the white top that you made is fabulous Sharan.

Thanks for the welcome back, Rio and Diane!
Jenava, these aren't actually espadrilles. I haven't found a photo of them online, so I need to take a photo to create a custom find! I agree we have similar taste in shoes--I always admire yours, too.

Casually elegant and pulled together! Eddie Bauer, who knew? And of course I'm always in awe of your sewing skills, lovely job on the blouse.

    These are your colors, too!
The top is great--that length would be good with skirts, too. The shoes are a nice interpretation, echoing the other neutrals.
Would also like to see the jean jacket over a longer top, maybe a shirttail hem. though that would be more conventional proportions.

This is a perfect look....one that I'll love to copy! I absolutely adore that elegant top with olive chinos....casual yet elegant....or as I like to call it - Comfortably Dressy. You look wonderful!

So the first thought I had was at least I can be sure she didn't sew that fab top.  BUT YOU DID!  Amazed again.

I really really like this interpretation. The shoes are great, and the top is amazing!

LOVE THOSE SHOES. (We have had the best Summer weather to wear them, Sharan).

    Killer casual look, pretty lady.
