WIW: New Year's Eve at home

We're not doing anything special for New Year's Eve, but I donned a cardigan that feels festive to me. I did go out to breakfast in this outfit, anyway. It's a cozy outfit for a day relaxing at home.

The outfit (worn for a day off): teal corduroy skinnies (Kut from the Kloth, Diana); ivory long-sleeved crew-neck t-shirt (Caslon); teal plaid fuzzy long cardigan (Pleione); espresso moto boots (Miu Miu); brown and gray wool coat (made by me); brown chenille gloves (gift of YLF Secret Santa); teal asymmetrical fedora (Asian Eye); brown and taupe croc-print bag (Brahmin).

    I was just thinking about buying those same teal corduroys. I love the color, but I haven't worn cords for a few years, so I'm not sure if im ready to go back there. They look great on you with that sweater.

    Thanks, all! I've been wanting to get more teal into my wardrobe for a while, but over the Spring and Summer I was thwarted by a lack of the right shades in the stores (and in fabrics). Then I ended up choosing new glasses with teal temples, and I'm continuing to pick up teal when I can find it in things I want to wear.

    That cardigan and those skinnies have become true workhorses for you. Fabulous! I love the cardigan with the crisp white. It brings out the colours more than in a darker outfit. Happy new year!!

    This really is your color palette! I can't tell what your eye color is. On my iPad, they appear black but with sparkle. Your outfit looks rich and interesting, but my eyes go straight to your face and eyes. I feel like the whole point of style is to frame one's beauty. You really nailed it :)

    Suz, thansk! I liked the way the ivory top brings out the colors in the cardigan, too.
    La Belle, I'm glad to hear your thoughts on the colors. My eyes are blue with very faint flecks of yellow, so the blue leans toward the teal side. They tend to look blue, green, or gray, depending on what I wear, though. You can see them a little better in these photos of my new glasses.
