WIW: Ink, Black, Gray, & Brown

Angie's ensemble today gave me something to wear. I was thinking of wearing the top, and her suggestion gave me the rest of the outfit.

The outfit (worn to work):

Ink and black checked cowl-neck pullover blouse with v-inset at front (made by me); charcoal skinny pants with stitched front crease (Classiques Entier, City-Weave skinny ankle pants); navy linen knit vest (made by me); caramel brown oxfords (Born, Arletta); black leather cross-body bag with brown reptile print panel (Aimee Kestenberg); silver and brass earrings (Marjorie Baer); silver and brass beaded bracelet (Lucky).

Kind of a dark look, but I like it. Thanks for the inspiration, Angie!
Thanks for looking, and I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions!

Love the vest! Oh it is just fabulous. Do you have the pattern make and number or did you draft it yourself? I am looking for alternatives to cardigans for fall and winter. Did you make it from a knit?
This whole outfit is wonderful on you. Feels artsy.

Beautiful outfit, dark and artsy and moody.  Love the pieces you made yourself and that bag is gorgeous.

    Thanks, all!
Alana, you're too kind. Yes, the vest is from a pattern: eVest from the Sewing Workshop. I think I got the linen knit fabric from the same site. The vest would look fantastic on you.

Oh, and the top is from the same pattern company (the Sewing Workshop); it's called the Stella top, from the Stella and Luna tops pattern.

Absolutely love the way that you used the color pallet here. I especially like your outfit with the bag in #1. Now I want brown oxfords.

A lovely dark look.  I especially like the textures here with the drape of the cardigan and the shine on the shoes paired together.
