WIW: day after Thanksgiving

I didn't get a photo of what I wore on Thanksgiving, but here is my outfit for the day after, which involved a family brunch. I hope everyone who celebrates the holiday had a nice one!

The outfit:
Olive skinny corduroys (Kut from the Kloth, Diana); mauve, olive, and deep indigo impressionistic tulip-print silk long-sleeved blouse (made by me); olive long open-weave knit vest (Caslon); brown and black studded belt (Suzi Roher); long key pendant; brass double-disk dangle earrings (Lucky); brown high-top shoes (Jo Ghost); not pictured: navy trench coat (London Fog) and espresso and black satchel (Joy Gryson).

Thanks for looking! As always, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.

Nice sweater vest, and you make really nice clothing for yourself. I like the print.

Gorgeous! I love those muted colors on you.

Yep, you wear those moody tones like olive and burgundy so well! That vest is terrific, and the whole outfit is great.

This is such a beautiful fit. I really like the shoes.

I love the long line vest over your top and jeans...such great proportions and I love the colours you've combined too. YLF!

The vest is so perfect with this look on you in all your own colors. You always choose the pieces that make you look so tall, yet I think you've said before that you aren't, particularly.

  • shevia replied 2 years ago

Great outfit. The long vest suits you so well.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Everything looks wonderful together. My favorite parts are the silk top that you made and the long vest.

  • Firecracker replied 2 years ago

Oh, my goodness--you all made my day.
Suz, you really made me smile with the Linda Rodin comment. I do find her style very inspiring.
Ledonna, I appreciate your shout out for the shoes. They are my find from New York a few weeks ago. And to Suz's point, I feel the choice is a bit inspired by LR's style, too.
UmmLila, you're right--I'm just under 5'5". Glad to hear the proportions work with flat shoes. Often I think my "taller" looks involve at least a bit of a heel.

Love the high tops! I've been interested in footwear that is mirr definitely comfortable but could still have some edge. And the print top! Great choice of fabric. You DO look tall!

This is one of my favorites! The vest somehow adds both structure and softness; its gorgeous lines amp up the outfit and the proportions are perfection. I bet it is terrific in motion.

Everything about this outfit is so lovely...colors, structure, proportions..!

  • Donna replied 2 years ago

Wow! You have got it going on! Love your MBM blouse with the long open-weave knit vest and THE BOOTIES! I'm sure it looked awesome with the navy trench too!

  • Sal replied 2 years ago

Very elegant and edgy - your hair worn up looks terrific!

  • bonnie replied 2 years ago
