WIW: casual summer palazzo pants

I decided to try Angie's Outfit Formula: Casual Summer Palazzo Pants today, for a dinner party with family. I used formula 1: palazzo pants with a sleeveless shell and flat sandals.

The outfit: Black split-leg cropped palazzo pants (can't recall the brand, but they are several years old); boxy linen shell in olive, turquoise, silver-grey and black (made by me); flat ankle-strap standals (Eileen Fisher).

How did I do? Do you think these are palazzo pants? They don't seem quite like the current trend.

Thanks for looking!

That top is everything. You make such beautiful pieces. And the herbs on those pants give them just enough structure. Brilliant! And I love the shorter hair too :)

Yep, I’m going with killer too!
I love your hair shorter as well !

I love the top! Perfect color and nicely structured. Add it to my order ;) .Those are the kind of palazzo pants I could imagine wearing. Is your hair cut or pulled back?

Wow, super elegantly and arty! I think they qualify as palazzo pants for sure. You look fab as always and I love the new do! So pretty!

Fab pants! And I like the top too. I’d love to see more outfits with these pants— matching a top to shoes, maybe, or emphasizing vertical lines to echo the vertical slots.

The pants look great! Love your top.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate all the support and kind thoughts.
Shevia, I got my hair cut!
Jessikams, good ideas. I have tended to wear these pants with boxy tees in the past, with a similar feel to this outfit. I'll have to try something outside the "box," so to speak!

Those are great palazzo pants.  I'm usually turned off by the extreme length on palazzos but I really like your cropped length with the split leg.

  • JAileen replied 4 years ago

Again, you look cool in whatever you wear. The top makes the outfit.
