New specs

I loved Angie's post on "four shortcuts to a more current style." Since I wear glasses every day, I wanted to be sure mine were current and reflect my individual style. I decided to swap out one pair that I wasn't wearing. They weren't dated, but I just didn't reach for them, or I'd put them on and then change to a different pair.

Here are the new glasses I chose (1-3): teal on the sides with amethyst over the teal on the front, by Face a Face. I love them! I feel the shape, size, and color suit me so well. They feel integral to my features, rather than something I'm adding on to my face, if that makes sense. Do you agree?

For reference, here are the others I'll keep in rotation:
4: round brown and metal by Kenneth Cole. These are/were my go-to glasses, easy to wear, blend with my features and coloring.
5: brown metal frames with crystal sides (sorry I didn't get a shot of the sides), by Caviar. These are my dress-up glasses or the ones I wear when I want a more minimal look.
6: small cat-eye in eggplant, by Kala. These are my oldest but I still like them. I feel they give me a kind of prissy look, perhaps.

And the ones I am replacing:
7: tortoise and green by Michael Kors. I plan to turn them into sunglasses.

    Love the new pair. My least favorite is #5 and making #7 sunnies is a great idea.

    how fab!  i initially thought these were glasses up for consideration so i was about to vote #1-3...then i saw that you already got them!  love #7 as sunnies.

    OK ... #1 you have great taste in glasses and your new addition is particularly fab! Love the colour.

    #2 you have gorgeous skin and eyes! I've never seen a close-up of you before.

    #3 your face really suits glasses or you're great at picking the right shape and proportion or both! I don't wear glasses but wish I did when I see how stylish yours are. I have quite a time finding sunnies that suit.

    Love your new specs. Great colors and beautiful shape on you. Chuckled when you mentioned the brand. My new specs are also Face a Face and I love them. Very comfortable, too. Mine are a reddish plum color, with a hint of orange in the back of the frame.

    I LOVE THESE!  Gorgeous and perfect for you!  Love specs that make a statement.  My local store is going to call me when their new crop comes in hopefully this week, because she said there is CITRON.

    Those are STUNNING on you!!! Wow wow wow. I just adore them. No wonder you are happy. They really are windows on your beautiful eyes, and they do exactly what Angie says a great pair of specs should do -- they "lift" your eyes somehow. Congratulations on a superb purchase! 

    The old ones will make great sunnies, too, so it is win win!

    Your new glasses are perfect on you!  I love the shape on your face, very lifting.  The pop of turquoise on the sides make these very special.  I love them!

    Those are the bomb Sharan and you're spot on with the shape and color.  The teal highlights your eyes so well! I've had several pair of Face a Face and love their styles so much!

    Love the new ones! The two-tone blue is so cool and really brings out your beautiful eyes.

    I actually somehow hadn't noticed you had a "wardrobe" of different glasses. I like how they're all different enough to add variety, but all work so well with your features.
